The Project Analyst – Technology supports the implementation of technology and transformation initiatives within the Project Management Office. This position is execution-focused, and the incumbent is responsible for leading small to medium-sized projects or supporting larger, more complex initiatives under the direction of project or program managers.

The duties related to the position include planning, coordination, proactive monitoring, and financial management of projects, while ensuring that initiatives remain on track and are consistent with delivery commitments.

Responsibilities:

Project delivery and execution

  • Assume responsibility for projects, from their beginning to their completion.
  • Define scope, deadlines, expected deliverables, and success criteria.
  • Ensure on-time, within-scope, and within-budget delivery.

Planning, coordination, and monitoring

  • Develop and maintain project plans and schedules.
  • Coordinate the activities of stakeholders, technology teams, and suppliers.
  • Proactively monitor actions taken, dependencies, and commitments to ensure progress.
  • Quickly identify schedule risks and take corrective action to maintain compliance with the schedule.

Support for complex initiatives

  • Support project or program managers in the context of more complex and larger projects.
  • Assume responsibility for workflows or expected deliverables, and participate in cross-functional coordination.
  • Ensure coordination and monitoring of suppliers.
  • Produce progress reports and communications for senior management.
  • Lead meetings and action management.

Management of risks, issues, and dependencies.

  • Identify, track, and manage risks, issues, and dependencies.
  • Maintain RAID registers and ensure their timely resolution.
  • Report risks by hierarchical recourse using clear mitigation plans.

Project financial management

  • Assist project managers in estimating costs, forecasting resource requirements, and escalating funding risks as needed.
  • Act as the primary contact person for projects assigned to Finance management regarding month-end accruals, while supporting explanations of budget variances and new forecasts.
  • As needed, act as the primary contact person for project costing, in preparation for prioritization for the capital investment project approval board.

Governance and information communication

  • Provide regular reports on project completion and financial status.
  • Maintain project documentation and ensure compliance with Project Management Office standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Two to four years of experience in project coordination, Project Management Office, or project delivery.
  • Experience in delivering projects or supporting large-scale projects or programs.
  • Knowledge of financial monitoring and project budget management.
  • Experience with project management tools (Jira, Azure DevOps, MS Project, Smartsheet, Planner, etc.).
  • Strong attention to detail and aptitude for document management.
  • Demonstrate punctuality and reliability to promote overall team success in a fast-paced environment.

Desirable

  • PMP certification obtained or in progress.
  • Experience in technology or transformation environments.
  • Knowledge of Agile or Waterfall methodologies.
