Position objective: The Data and Systems Analyst supports operations by leading data analysis projects, managing critical data pipelines and maintaining core business applications. They collaborate with business stakeholders and technology teams to bridge software development, cloud data engineering and strategic intelligence, transforming raw data into reliable, actionable insights.
Summary of responsibilities
- Application and systems management: maintain, optimize and develop business systems and web interfaces using Visual Studio and C# (.NET Framework and .NET Core 9.0+).
- Data pipelines and engineering: extract, aggregate and transform large datasets from multiple sources using Azure Databricks (PySpark and Databricks SQL), and automate workflows with Power Automate.
- Database administration and querying: write and optimize complex queries for relational databases and troubleshoot problematic queries, especially for Azure SQL and Oracle SQL, using SSMS and Oracle SQL Developer.
- Reporting and strategic intelligence: design, build and maintain enterprise-level reports and dashboards using modern tools (Power BI) and existing systems (Crystal Reports).
- AI and document automation: implement intelligent automation and data extraction workflows with Azure Document Intelligence and Python.
- Stakeholder collaboration: work with cybersecurity and business stakeholders to understand needs, map data requirements and deliver secure data solutions.
- Data quality and documentation: monitor data quality, resolve database issues to ensure integrity, and document data definitions, processes and application workflows.
Education and qualifications
Education and experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems or a related quantitative field, or equivalent experience.
- 4 to 7 years of varied experience in data analysis, software design and data engineering (senior level position - P03).
Technical skills (required)
- Software design: strong mastery of MS Visual Studio and C#, practical experience with .NET Framework and .NET Core (9.0+).
- Automation and data engineering: hands-on experience with Azure Databricks (PySpark, Databricks SQL) and Python for data processing and scripting.
- Database management: strong SQL skills and operational experience with Azure SQL (SSMS) and Oracle SQL (Oracle SQL Developer).
- Reporting and intelligence: experience with Power BI (modern dashboards) and Crystal Reports.
- Cloud and AI tools: knowledge of Azure Document Intelligence for document and data extraction, and Power Automate for workflow automation.
