POSITION OBJECTIVE: The Data and Systems Analyst supports business operations by leading data analysis projects, managing critical data pipelines, and maintaining core business applications. They collaborate with business stakeholders and technology teams to bridge the gap between complex software development, cloud data engineering, and business intelligence, transforming raw data into reliable and useful insights.

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Application and Systems Management: Maintain, optimize, and develop business systems and web interfaces using Visual Studio environments and C# language (.NET Framework and Core 9.0+)
  • Data Pipelines and Engineering: Extract, synthesize, and transform large datasets from multiple sources using Azure Databricks (PySpark and Databricks SQL), and automate workflows with Power Automate
  • Database Administration and Querying: Write and optimize complex queries across relational databases and troubleshoot problematic ones, especially for Azure SQL and Oracle SQL databases, using SSMS and Oracle SQL Developer
  • Reporting and Business Intelligence: Design, build, and maintain enterprise-level reports and dashboards using modern tools (Power BI) and existing systems (Crystal Reports)
  • Artificial Intelligence and Document Automation: Implement intelligent automation and data extraction workflows using Azure Document Intelligence and Python scripts
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with cybersecurity and business sector stakeholders to understand needs, map data requirements, and provide secure data solutions
  • Data Quality and Documentation: Monitor data quality, resolve database issues to ensure absolute integrity, and document definitions, data processes, and application workflows

EDUCATION AND SKILLS

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or a related quantitative field (or equivalent experience)
  • Diverse experience of four to seven years, including data analysis, software design, and data engineering (senior level position – P03)

Technical Skills (required)

  • Software Design: High proficiency in MS Visual Studio and C#, and practical experience with .NET Framework and .NET Core (9.0+)
  • Data Automation and Engineering: Practical experience with Azure Databricks (PySpark and Databricks SQL) and Python for data processing and scripting
  • Database Management: Strong SQL skills and extensive operational experience with Azure SQL (SSMS) and Oracle SQL (Oracle SQL Developer)
  • Reporting and Business Intelligence: Dual-modal reporting skills and experience with Power BI (modern dashboards) and Crystal Reports (existing enterprise reports)
  • Cloud and AI Tools: Knowledge of Azure Document Intelligence for extracting documents and data, and Power Automate for automating workflows

  • Solid understanding of data modeling, data structures, and database performance optimization
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and keen attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously, work autonomously, and resolve complex system-level bugs
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to translate technical developer concepts into clear business information
  • Hands-on, solution-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering operational value
  • Interpersonal skills, strong stakeholder management, and ability to translate business needs into data solutions
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
