Job Summary:

Under the supervision of the Engineering Manager, the PLM Configuration and BOM Analyst works in collaboration with various internal departments such as Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, and Programs on equipped aerostructures for Airbus A220 & Bombardier G8000 products.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that engineering and certification documents meet the quality control standards established by the customer and Airbus Atlantique Canada (CATIA/ENOVIA Dataset, Engineering Data Release Notice - EDRN, Non-Incorporated Engineering Order - NIEO, Modification Summary - MODSUM);
  • Document BOM errors and return them to the Design Office for correction;
  • Support the Design Office in analyzing errors to eradicate them (right first time);
  • Interpret and integrate into the internal information system (PLM WindChill), customer documentation required for the integration of various configurations and certification documentation;
  • Follow the rules and requirements established between the customer and Airbus Atlantique Canada so that data transfer between our customer's computer systems and the internal computer systems of Airbus Atlantique Canada is done according to production needs;
  • Create Design Solutions (DS) for the various configurations generated from certification documents (NIEO and Modsum);
  • Maintain the engineering Build of Material (eBOM) in Airbus Atlantique Canada's PLM WindChill Multi-Client computer system;
  • Generate and submit for customer approval the documentation defining the configuration of our deliverables (Engineering Configuration Status - ECS);
  • Establish and disseminate periodic reports and performance indicators on the status of engineering releases, data transfer, and integration into the PLM;
  • Keep Airbus Atlantique Canada procedures on PLM Configuration and BOM up to date. Propose improvements to existing processes.

Mission/Operational Monitoring:

The mission of the Configuration Analyst is to ensure that items delivered by Airbus Atlantique Canada to external and internal customers are managed within quality, schedule, and cost objectives in accordance with program requirements.

Desired Profile:

  • Have 5 years of experience in the aeronautical industry;
  • Have knowledge of digital mock-up (DMU) management and design rules for fuselage structures and system installations;
  • Know BOMBARDIER and AIRBUS CANADA processes and methods;
  • Have very good knowledge of Enovia, Catia, DataLink, SAP, and Windchill software;
  • Be bilingual in French/English;
  • Knowledge of manufacturing technologies and aeronautical certification requirements is an asset;
  • Have good interpersonal skills and be able to demonstrate leadership;
  • Be recognized for the ability to work both in a team and independently;
  • Possess good interpersonal skills and know how to adapt communication to the relevant interlocutor, whether internally or toward the customer;
  • Of an enthusiastic nature, likes to work in a fast-paced environment where unforeseen and urgent situations stimulate;
  • Have the ability to respond calmly and responsively by providing quality work;
  • Ensure a good knowledge of one's technical limits and the need for assistance.
