Position Summary
Thales has a vacancy for an Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) Analyst (NEW GRAD.) to join our ILS team. This role supports the AJISS contract for the Royal Canadian Navy's Arctic and Offshore Patrol Vessels (AOPV) and Joint Support Ship (JSS) programs. The ILS Analyst will conduct, contribute to and assist in the preparation and delivery of various Supportability Engineering and Logistic Support Analyses, plans and reports with the objective of improving the support system of equipment and/or systems and optimizing maintainability, availability and life cycle cost.
Key Areas of Responsibility
- Review vendor documentation and identify maintenance and support requirements. Collect, organize and expedite technical data to conduct Product and Logistics Support Analysis (LSA) activities such as Functional Analysis; Failure Modes, Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA); Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) Analysis; Level of Repair Analysis; Maintenance Task Analysis and Sparing Analysis.
- Determine required spares and spares quantities by reviewing technical publications and usage data and by interacting with Thales engineering, procurement and service delivery personnel, Technical Authorities or ship staff. Review Maintenance Plans, Preventive or Corrective Maintenance Schedules, Instructions, Performance Test and operational data to propose amendments to eliminate or control equipment failures, improve maintainability, increase ship availability or reduce life cycle costs.
- Develop Maintenance Plans, Preventive and Corrective Maintenance Schedules, Instructions and Performance Tests as well as Spare Parts Lists and accompanying Provisioning Technical Data for new equipment or modifications to existing ship systems.
- Identify maintenance or spares required to support Short Work Periods or Docking Work Periods. Support AJISS Enterprise stakeholders by addressing maintenance or spares queries and problem reports in a timely manner. Manage data within the Logistics Support Analysis Record (LSAR).
- Conduct lifecycle cost analysis and report thru-life costs. Assist in preparation and execution of supportability plans or B2B processes. Support engineering personnel with development of engineering change proposals.
- Review elements of the technical data package to ensure it reflects the latest system/equipment configuration, is complete, accurate and consistent across the support solution. Create Document Change Requests and liaise with technical contributors as required to develop change packages identifying technical data package revisions.
Minimum Qualifications
- Engineering degree or Technologist diploma in mechanical, electrical, electronic, industrial, reliability or naval engineering.
- One or more years' experience conducting Logistics Support Analysis in maintenance and supply support of complex systems or equipment.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Logistics Support Analysis application software such as OmegaPS, Reliasoft RAM, Eagle ELT, SLIC2B, Relex and/or Analyzer.
- Background in naval systems and equipment; experience supporting an operational military asset is desirable.
- Experience developing Integrated Logistics Support plans, processes or procedures and identifying/ addressing Logistics Support Analysis deficiencies in technical publications.
- Above-average Microsoft Windows application experience, and strong communications and interpersonal skills.
- Language: English (Essential), French (Desirable).
Special Position Requirements
- Schedule: 40 hours per week.
- Physical environment: Hybrid position — a mix of working from home and onsite (in office, at customer site or on-board ships alongside in harbour).
- Travel: Occasional domestic travel may be required in support of the ships.
- This position requires direct or indirect access to hardware, software or technical information controlled under the Canadian Export Control List, the Canadian Controlled Goods Program, the Canadian Industrial Security Program, the US International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or the US Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Applicants must be eligible or able to obtain authorization for such access, including eligibility to the Canadian Controlled Goods Program and able to obtain a Canadian NATO Secret clearance.

Compensation
The reference Total Target Compensation (TTC) market range for this position, inclusive of annual base salary and the variable compensation target, is Total Target Cash 70,000.00 - 95,000 CDN Annual. This range is one data point among many used to make pay decisions; actual placement depends on career history, competencies, skills, performance, annual salary budget, customer program requirements and internal equity. Additional benefits or compensation may be offered depending on circumstances not related to protected status.
