Here are your main responsibilities:
- Perform detailed analyses of general ledger accounts to identify variances, trends, anomalies, or items requiring follow-up.
- Prepare, document, and analyze balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring the quality, accuracy, and justification of accounting balances.
- Actively participate in the month-end process, including results analysis, preparation of journal entries, account validation, and compliance with deadlines.
- Monitor cash flow, including analysis of cash inflows and outflows, preparation of cash flow forecasts, and identification of potential needs or risks.
- Prepare periodic financial reports, performance analyses, and variance explanations.
- Support managers and management in decision-making by providing clear, relevant, and action-oriented financial analyses.
- Collaborate with internal teams to gather, validate, and interpret the financial data necessary for analyses and reports.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of financial processes, tracking tools, analysis models, and internal controls.
- Participate in various ad hoc projects or requests related to accounting, finance, or financial reporting.
THE QUALIFICATIONS YOU SHOULD POSSESS
- University degree in accounting.
- 5 years of experience as a financial analyst or general accountant.
- Experience in month-ends or account reconciliations.
- Good understanding of accounting principles and financial statements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data manipulation, common formulas, pivot tables, and preparation of analysis files.
- Bilingualism required in French and English, orally and in writing, to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Knowledge of SAP considered an important asset.
- Ability to work with large volumes of data and draw relevant conclusions.
