The incumbent acts as the primary point of contact for all matters related to international branches, including country-specific tax, accounting, and regulatory requirements. They gather all necessary elements to produce results, analyses, and compliance obligations related to airline revenues and international financial operations.
This position is ideal for someone with strong skills in process implementation and optimization, who is a CPA member, and who wishes to have a concrete impact by structuring and improving practices.
- Carries out the necessary steps for implementing tax and accounting requirements in the different countries where Air Transat operates, including opening or updating local obligations.
- Works in collaboration with the IT department to implement required electronic invoicing systems, ensuring that government requirements specific to each jurisdiction are respected.
- Supports local legal and tax representatives in various countries to ensure continuous compliance and fluid communication.
- Ensures that Air Transat's business practices comply with the regulatory, tax, and accounting requirements of the countries served.
- Coordinates all Finance department actions necessary for opening a new route, including tax, accounting, regulatory, and operational obligations.
- Supports the Director, Airline Revenue Control, in all external or internal audits.
- Supports and produces all ad hoc requests addressed to the sector.
- Performs all other related tasks.
Qualifications
- Be a member of the CPA Order.
- Possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, ideally in a complex financial environment.
- Hold a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (including Power Query and modeling) and excellent knowledge of the Microsoft 365 Suite.
- Very good knowledge of SAP software.
- Knowledge of the airline industry, Revenue Accounting, or interline/codeshare, an asset.
- Excellent work organization, autonomy, and rigor, with a strong ability to manage priorities and emergencies.
- Oral and written fluency in French and English*
*A good command of French is required for positions in Quebec. The incumbent will frequently communicate in English, both orally and in writing, with colleagues, clients, or other stakeholders, both in Quebec and internationally.
