Reporting to the Financial Operations Manager, the analyst will be primarily responsible for providing support to arbitragers and for processing and communicating fixed income and equity transactions to our trustee. In addition, the analyst will be responsible, on a rotating basis, for cash reconciliations and daily cash management. The ideal candidate will have developed a sense of priorities, rigor, and the ability to work under pressure. TCC offers a complex financial environment where the incumbent will have the opportunity to develop a deep understanding of all operational processes related to the transaction lifecycle.

Responsibilities:

  • Apply the various processes related to the settlement of fixed income and equity transactions.
  • Ensure the integrity of system data to provide quality management information to the various business units responsible for investment.
  • Act proactively in transaction settlement in collaboration with the trustee and various counterparties.
  • Ensure to maintain an understanding of the different technicalities of international markets.
  • Support for arbitragers.
  • Perform reconciliations related to transactions, cash, and positions between our various systems and our trustees.
  • Manage and validate cash balances of different funds/accounts to avoid overdrafts.
  • Propose improvements to working methods and participate in their implementation.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in finance or administration.
  • Experience in financial operations, an asset.
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.

Knowledge and skills.

  • Excellent command of the Office suite (Excel, Outlook, etc.).
  • Language requirements: Bilingualism (English and French) both written and oral. This position requires proficiency in a language other than French to provide daily support to clients and employees located outside Quebec or who require services in a language other than French.
  • Knowledge of financial applications: Eagle Star, Bloomberg AIM, desirable.
