Demand Planning Analyst - Initial Provisioning

The incumbent of this position supports the development and execution of initial provisioning activities related to fleet transactions, aircraft programs, fleet development and aircraft modification programs by providing structured analyses, methodologies and decision-making support.

The incumbent of this position contributes to the development and application of a reproducible and justifiable provisioning approach to assess spare parts requirements, financial exposure and operational risks associated with entry into service, modifications driven by Engineering and modifications made to the fleet.

By collaborating with the Engineering, Maintenance Planning, Finance, Logistics, Procurement, Project Management Office (PMO) and Supply Chain teams, the incumbent of this position contributes to the early integration of procurement and sourcing considerations into the program lifecycle by transforming data and planning tool results into clear analyses and recommendations.

Responsibilities:

• Support initial provisioning activities related to fleet additions, fleet development and aircraft modification programs by providing structured analyses and data-driven recommendations.
• Analyze spare parts requirements, surplus risks and entry-into-service material readiness across various types of programs, ranging from major initiatives to smaller fleet transactions.
• Support procurement activities by assessing demand requirements and validating assumptions in collaboration with technical operations teams.
• Participate in Engineering-driven initiatives (e.g., service bulletins, airworthiness directives and other technical instructions) by assessing spare parts requirements and supporting sourcing activities.
• Act as a Supply Chain representative during cross-functional coordination meetings to ensure material requirements are clearly defined, tracked and aligned with execution schedules.
• Support sourcing and procurement decisions by providing required data, validating parts requirements and ensuring alignment between Engineering needs and execution teams.
• Translate supply chain modeling and forecasting tool results into clear analyses to support initial provisioning and sourcing decisions.
• Prepare structured analyses and decision support documents presenting risks, assumptions and mitigation scenarios intended for stakeholders, including Engineering, Procurement, Logistics, Finance and PMO teams.
• Identify and flag material risks that could compromise operational preparedness (e.g., lead time constraints, delivery delays or demand uncertainty), while contributing to the development of mitigation measures.
• Collaborate with multiple stakeholders to gather necessary data, validate assumptions and ensure alignment between supply chain analyses and operational requirements.
• Support the transition from initial provisioning activities to stable inventory management by ensuring data accuracy and clear demand signals.
• Contribute to the improvement of provisioning methodologies, tools and data quality in environments characterized by evolving or incomplete information.
• Support financial analyses by consolidating demand, procurement and budget data to provide management with visibility into expected financial exposure and operational readiness risks.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, supply chain management, operations, business or equivalent professional experience.
• Five years of experience in demand planning, supply planning, inventory management, sourcing support, or within the supply chain domain of airline companies or maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to structure complex issues, define assumptions and work effectively with incomplete data.
• Good understanding of inventory forecasting and supply planning principles, including their commercial and financial implications.
• Proficiency in Excel; experience with supply chain modeling and forecasting tools (e.g., Servigistics, TRAX, material requirements planning systems and enterprise resource planning software) is an asset.
• Demonstrated ability to manage priorities in a dynamic environment and consistently meet deadlines and commitments with minimal supervision.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical analyses into clear and concise findings and recommendations for stakeholders.
• Ability to work in a cross-functional context and establish effective working relationships with Engineering, Maintenance, Logistics, Procurement, Finance and PMO teams.
• Comfort navigating an environment characterized by ambiguity, constantly evolving priorities and complex decision-making contexts.
