The incumbent is responsible for monitoring the progress of the project portfolio, identifying/optimizing critical paths while taking proactive actions with various key stakeholders to ensure the overall viability of the plan. They are the main planning contact to contribute to optimal execution from engineering to project delivery to the final customer. They also lead initiatives using best planning practices to improve tools/processes to help achieve objectives while respecting the budget and delivery deadlines.
Main responsibilities
Project Portfolio Management
- Maintain consolidated visibility of all stream projects.
- Evaluate the feasibility of new requests and prioritization changes.
- Recommend portfolio priorities based on client commitments, financial objectives, and available capacity.
Integrated Planning
- Evaluate the impacts of changes and risks on capacity, procurement, engineering, and production.
- Synchronize needs and interdependencies between engineering, procurement, manufacturing, and project management functions.
- Ensure compliance with Frozen Horizons.
Risk Management
- Identify, consolidate, and track risks and constraints that could affect deliveries.
- Optimize critical paths to ensure adherence to the production plan, costs, and schedules.
- Define and monitor mitigation plans.
Governance and Decision-Making
- Facilitate weekly and monthly portfolio reviews.
- Prepare performance indicators, scenarios, and risk analyses.
- Analyze and escalate issues impacting deliveries or capacity.
- Provide necessary analyses for management decision-making.
Collaboration
- Collaborate with engineering, procurement, planning, production, and project management teams to develop proactive, data-driven solutions.
- Act as a planning reference for tools, processes, and best practices.
Profile sought
- Bachelor's degree, ideally in engineering or administration.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong team spirit and good interpersonal skills.
- Autonomy and respect for deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication with various stakeholders.
- Excellent organizational sense and ability to manage multiple tasks.
- In-depth mastery of the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Familiarity with an ERP, preferably Oracle.
- Problem-solving aptitude: gathering information, establishing facts, and drawing valid conclusions.
- Understanding of assembly sequences and critical paths.
- Asset: reports via SQL, VBA, Power Query (M), Power BI.
- French-English bilingualism required
