We are looking for a Principal Quality Analyst - Supplier Management to join our team!

Job Summary

This role is part of the Quality team which reports to the MHIRJ Engineering group.

  • Lead, plan, perform and document supplier audits to ensure compliance with MHIRJ Quality and Engineering procedures.
  • Evaluate and approve supplier special processes (e.g., machining, heat treatment, coatings, surface treatments, non-destructive testing (NDT), welding) to ensure compliance with MHIRJ engineering procedures.
  • Identify and address non-conformances, collaborating with suppliers to implement effective corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (quality, engineering, supply chain) to support supplier development activities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (quality, engineering, supply chain) to perform technical supplier evaluations during selection and onboarding processes.
  • Provide suppliers with guidance and coaching related to compliance with MHIRJ Quality and Engineering procedures.
  • Evaluate compliance data provided by suppliers.
  • Perform Material Review Board (MRB) activities.
  • Provide mentoring and technical support as needed.
  • Perform travel to supplier sites, as needed and with required authorization, to develop, review, and improve quality procedures, work instructions, and processes.
  • Interact with Transport Canada and other civil aviation authorities, as needed.
  • Perform any other tasks necessary to support operations, as needed and assigned.

Qualifications

  • You hold a bachelor's degree in a related engineering field.
  • You possess more than 10 years of experience in quality auditing in the aerospace industry or in the field of materials and processes within the manufacturing sector.
  • Demonstrated experience with aerospace materials and control of special processes.
  • Solid knowledge of AS9100 and/or ISO 9001 standards as well as recognized auditing experience in these standards. Lead auditor certification is a significant asset.
  • Experience in auditing national and international suppliers.
  • Experience in evaluating special processes (e.g., machining, heat treatment, coatings, surface treatments, non-destructive testing (NDT), welding).
  • Demonstrated expertise in developing, writing, and improving quality procedures, work instructions, and audit documentation.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering documents.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively with a wide range of individuals and departments.
  • Ability to identify and solve problems.
  • Excellent command of computer tools (MS Office and SAP).
  • Good command of French and English, both spoken and written.
  • Solid analytical skills and ability to collaborate with suppliers to resolve quality issues.
  • Comfortable working in an environment governed by Transport Canada regulations.
  • Quality inspection experience (an asset).
