The Airport Royalties and Leases Specialist is responsible for processing, validating, and communicating accurate information regarding airport-related lease and billing activities. The incumbent ensures data integrity and establishes rigorous documentation and clear reports for all airport royalties and lease transactions to provide reliable information to support informed decision-making. They act as the primary coordination point between various internal and external stakeholders to ensure consistency and compliance of billing and data flows.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary contact person for managing contracts with airport authorities and lease data, ensuring correct interpretation, updating, and application of lease terms across all systems, records, and reports.
  • Play a key role in the development and administration of the automated lease database, ensuring data integrity, structure, and continuous updating.
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices from airport authorities, verifying the compliance of royalties against agreements and supporting documents.
  • Manage lease-related billing (tenants and internally), ensuring it is complete, accurate, and compliant with contractual terms.
  • Manage tariff and lease-related data, ensuring its consistency, traceability, and integrity across all systems and reports.
  • Maintain and manage centralized data sources, including gate assignment databases, lease management systems, and space occupancy records, ensuring data integrity and accuracy, as well as efficient use of airport assets.
  • Review and resolve billing discrepancies, reconciling data from different sources and systems.
  • Produce regular and ad hoc reports on airport royalties, lease activities, and significant discrepancies to facilitate monitoring and decision-making.
  • Develop, maintain, and improve datasets and monitoring tools to support billing transparency and reporting accuracy.
  • Ensure that documentation and supporting documents are complete, well-structured, and ready for audit.
  • Ensure compliance with billing terms, lease contracts, and airport royalty structures.
  • Work closely with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable departments and other internal stakeholders to harmonize billing and resolve issues.
  • Act as the primary contact for inquiries related to billing and lease-related data.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes through data preparation and reliable reporting (without being responsible for financial strategy).
  • Identify opportunities to improve billing processes, reduce manual tasks, and optimize data quality and reporting efficiency.
  • Assist various team members with administrative tasks.

Qualifications

  • University degree in business administration, finance, accounting, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
  • Three to five years of experience in contract administration, data management, or reporting.
  • Excellent understanding of billing processes, data controls, and reconciliation practices.
  • Work experience related to contracts, lease agreements, or structured billing frameworks, an asset.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; experience with data management tools and financial or billing systems, an asset.
  • Excellent writing skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
  • Proven ability to analyze data, identify discrepancies, and resolve problems.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proven punctuality and reliability to promote overall team success in a fast-paced environment.

Employment conditions:
