Role:

The Electromechanical Assembly Apprentice position focuses on training and learning the trade, as well as the development of technical skills. The training will be a combination of theory and practical on-the-job training.

Under the supervision of more experienced assemblers, the electronic assembly apprentice will be called upon to perform the assembly of electromechanical products.

Responsibility:

• Prepare components.
• Proceed with the tinning of components.
• Manually assemble through-hole (TH) and surface-mount (SMT) components on printed circuit boards.
• Operate and adjust automated assembly and inspection equipment.
• Prepare, handle and use polymeric products for component bonding.
• Install cables.
• Mechanically integrate modules, flexes and printed circuit boards.
• May also be called upon to perform the tasks of a production clerk or general helper.
• All other related tasks.

Minimum required qualifications:

• Fine manual dexterity.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Ability to retrieve and enter data using a computer system.
• Use of production databases.
• Basic knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing principles, an asset.
• Good knowledge of French.

Education: Asset - DEP in a related field.

Experience: None to two (2) years of relevant experience.

• Knowledge of English, an asset.
