This role is designed for a seasoned, results-oriented leader who will orchestrate the strategy, evolution, and support of software solutions related to tooling and manufacturing applications while mentoring a dedicated technical team.

What will your day-to-day look like?

  • Platform Management: Responsible for the vision, roadmap, and full lifecycle of the Tooling platform.
  • Stakeholder Partnership: Build and maintain trusted relationships with stakeholders and ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Project Management & Execution: Plan, prioritize, and oversee execution of development and enhancement projects (minor projects). Ensure project governance for major projects.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, and mentor a technical team (developers); foster collaboration and technical excellence.
  • Support Organization: Contribute to functional support and organize the operational support structure to ensure high availability and performance of critical applications.
  • Vendor Management: Manage external service providers and vendors for project execution and support services.
  • Governance & Standards: Define and promote standards, DevOps procedures, and design reviews to ensure solution quality and maintainability.

This position is designated as on-site, with regular attendance required at our facilities located in Longueuil, Quebec.

What do you need to be successful?

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Automated Production Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, including team leadership, project management, or platform management roles.
  • Industry Expertise: Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production planning, and tooling environments.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated ability to exercise influential leadership, mobilize multidisciplinary teams, and navigate complex organizational structures.
  • Communication: Excellent ability to simplify complex technical issues for non-technical audiences and communicate at all levels of management.
  • Technical Skills: Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile/DevOps methodologies.
  • Languages: Proficiency in French and English (oral and written).

This position is part of a French-speaking work environment but requires good knowledge of English to read and understand documentation and technical terms and to write and communicate with international customers, suppliers, or colleagues.
