As a Cloud Solutions and Infrastructure Architect at Rheinmetall Canada, your main challenge will be to design and lead the target technology architecture of the IT environment, with a primary emphasis on the Azure and AWS platforms, while ensuring alignment with the compliance and security requirements specific to the defence sector.

Main responsibilities include:

• Design and maintain the target architecture of the hybrid IT infrastructure (on-premises and cloud Azure/AWS).
• Lead the migration of services to the cloud while respecting data sovereignty constraints (residency, commercial environments vs. GCC).
• Define and document architecture standards, design principles and reference guides.
• Conduct architecture reviews for new projects and technology solutions.
• Design hybrid identity solutions, connectivity (ExpressRoute, VPN) and cloud security (Zero Trust, CSPM).
• Support CMMC and CP‑CSC programs on the technical design aspect: modelling system boundaries and architectural controls (an asset).
• Maintain active technology monitoring and propose directions for the evolution of the IT platform.
• Collaborate with system and network administrators to ensure consistency between the target architecture and operations.

Required qualifications and skills:

• Degree in computer science, software engineering or a related field.
• 7 to 10 years of IT experience, including at least 3 years in a solutions or cloud infrastructure architect role.
• Proven expertise in Azure (AZ-305 or equivalent) and AWS (AWS Certified Solutions Architect or equivalent) - preferred.
• Experience designing hybrid infrastructures and cloud migration in regulated contexts.
• Knowledge of CMMC, CP‑CSC, EIPA requirements and data sovereignty constraints for controlled goods.
• Cloud security skills (CSPM, Zero Trust, Defender for Cloud) are an asset.
• Excellent analytical, communication and technical documentation skills.
• Bilingual (French/English).*
