We have several open positions in aeronautical structure assembly to join our teams in Mirabel.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the structural installation, assembly, and system sub-assemblies, parts, and components of aircraft within a project and/or assignment area.
- Use technical data and instructions provided by the customer or aircraft manufacturer.
- Use jigs and position components from PVAs, engineering department drawings, or any other material provided by the methods department.
- Read and interpret plans or the manufacturing file.
- Adapt work to different types of assembly: large/small components.
- Adjust and use manual or automated machines and tools according to the work to be performed.
- Assemble metal and/or composite parts according to technical specifications provided by the customer:
- Install necessary fasteners; drill holes; ensure that the correct products are used for assembly (bolts, hardened or mechanical rivets, screws, or accessories to fix, support, or suspend components and sub-assemblies).
- Ensure the use of correct products for assembly (sealants, bonding, corrosion, paint).
- Ensure the conformity of assemblies with the manufacturing file.
- Inspect and verify installed units, parts, and equipment to ensure their suitability, performance, and compliance with standards defined in the technical documentation.
- Adhere to quality standards and production rates.
- Adhere to health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Report any anomaly or irregularity.
- Any other related task.
Skills and qualifications
- Two years of experience as a structures assembler in the aeronautical sector.
- You hold at least a Diploma of Professional Studies in aeronautical structure assembly or equivalent.
- You have excellent knowledge in reading plans.
- You demonstrate dexterity.
- You have a quick mind and a well-developed attention to detail.
- Proficiency in spoken and written French, English is an asset.
