The incumbent plays a key role in the assembly of high-precision aerospace components and systems. Using technical drawings, manufacturing procedures, and customer requirements, they contribute to the production of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic assemblies that meet the highest quality standards in the industry.

This position requires excellent manual dexterity, strong attention to detail, and a solid aptitude for solving technical challenges. The ideal candidate is meticulous, self-motivated, and enjoys working as part of a team in an environment where precision, quality, and reliability are essential to operational success.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and customer specifications.
  • Prepare assemblies, equipment, and fixtures required for production.
  • Select and install specialized tooling according to part requirements.
  • Analyze assembly methods as well as associated fixtures and tooling.
  • Adjust and install components in accordance with applicable standards and specifications.
  • Perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic assemblies.
  • Carry out riveting, bolting, welding, safety wiring, and other related assembly operations.
  • Apply sealants and perform bonded assemblies.
  • Conduct functional testing in accordance with established procedures.
  • Measure and inspect part dimensions using precision measuring instruments.
  • Complete first article assemblies, validate conformity, and implement any required adjustments.
  • Ensure the quality and conformity of assemblies throughout the manufacturing process.

Education

  • DEP in Aircraft Structural Assembly or Aerospace Mechanical Assembly (required)

Skills and Qualifications

  • Knowledge of aerospace assembly, bonding, and finishing techniques (asset).
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints (asset).
  • Knowledge of mechanical and electrical testing procedures (asset).
  • Strong manual dexterity, attention to detail, and commitment to quality workmanship (asset).
