Responsibilities

• Responsible for structural installation, assembly and sub-assemblies of aircraft systems, parts and components within a project and/or assignment area.
• Use technical data and instructions provided by the client or aircraft manufacturer.
• Use jigs and position components from PVAs, engineering department drawings or any other material provided by the methods department.
• Read and interpret plans or manufacturing files.
• Adapt work to different types of assembly: large/small components.
• Adjust and use manual or automated machines and tools according to the work to be performed.
• Assemble metal and/or composite parts according to technical specifications provided by the client:
• Install necessary fasteners; drill holes; ensure the correct products are used for assembly (bolts, hardened or mechanical rivets, screws or accessories to fix, support or suspend components and sub-assemblies).
• Ensure the correct products are used for assembly (sealants, bonding, corrosion, paint)
• Ensure the conformity of assemblies with the manufacturing file.
• Inspect and verify installed units, parts and equipment to ensure their suitability, performance and compliance with standards defined in the technical documentation.
• Adhere to quality standards and production rates.
• Adhere to health, safety and environmental standards.
• Report any anomaly or irregularity.
• Any other related tasks.

Skills and qualifications

• Minimum five years of experience as a Structure Assembler in the aeronautics field, ideally on the Global 8000.
• You hold at least a Professional Studies Diploma (DEP) in aeronautical structure assembly or equivalent.
• You have excellent knowledge of reading plans.
• You demonstrate dexterity.
• You have a keen mind and a developed attention to detail.
• Bilingualism (French and English) is an asset.
