Position summary

As part of the industrialization of the A220 aircraft program with our partner/client, the primary role of the sought "Structure Stress Engineer" is to ensure that stress analysis, within their scope, complies with certification requirements for the primary structure in static and fatigue. Knowledge of secondary structures and system installations is an asset.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure the technical scope is respected according to customer requirements, program needs and manufacturing requirements.
• Participate in stress analyses of primary and/or secondary structures within the scope:
  • Support technical decision-making related to primary structure stress analysis.
  • Support technical decision-making for fixed and movable supports.
• Prepare main technical deliverables and ensure their compliance with Airbus Atlantic and client requirements.
• Participate in analysis and implementation activities.

Candidate profile

• Education: Bachelor's/Master's degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years' experience in stress analysis of metallic primary structures (skin/frames/stringers...).
• Knowledge of aeronautical calculation processes and methods (AIRBUS Atlantic, BOMBARDIER, AIRBUS Canada processes and methods).
• Familiarity with tools: Catia (for review); strong knowledge of NASTRAN and PATRAN (use of existing models, extraction of loads/stresses...); VBA programming skills.
• Experience in analysis of sheet-metal and machined parts.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Project management experience is a plus.
• Languages: French and English (technical).
