Job Summary

As part of the industrialization of the Global 7500/8000 aircraft program with our partner/client, the primary role of the "Metallic Structure Stress Engineer" is to ensure that stress analysis, within their perimeter, complies with certification requirements for primary structure, secondary structures, and systems installations.

Your Challenges:

  • Ensure that the technical perimeter is strictly respected according to client requirements, program needs, and manufacturing requirements.
  • Participate in stress analyses of the primary structure, secondary structure, and systems installations within your perimeter:
  • Support technical decision-making related to primary structure stress analysis
  • Support technical decision-making for fixed and mobile supports
  • Support technical decision-making for all assigned systems installations.
  • Prepare key technical deliverables and ensure compliance of technical deliverables following the requirements of Airbus Atlantic and the client;
  • Participate in the analysis and implementation of changes with the program, supply chain, production, and clients;
  • Draft test reports.
  • Validate developed methodologies by correlating tests with calculations.

Profile Sought

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering;
  • Knowledge of primary metallic and/or composite structure stress calculation, secondary structure, and systems installations;
  • Knowledge of aeronautical calculation processes and methods (AIRBUS Atlantic, BOMBARDIER, AIRBUS Canada Processes and Methods);
  • Good mastery of Catia/Enovia, NASTRAN, PATRAN;
  • Experience in sheet metal and machined parts calculation;
  • Experience in composite parts calculation (an asset);
  • Knowledge of configuration management rules;
  • Knowledge/awareness of tolerancing (GD&T);
  • Possesses good written and oral communication skills;
  • Bilingual English / French (verbal and written)
