Job Summary
As part of the industrialization of the Global 7500/8000 aircraft program with our partner/client, the primary role of the "Metallic Structure Stress Engineer" is to ensure that the stress analysis, within its scope, complies with certification requirements for primary structure, secondary structures, and system installations.
Your challenges:
• Ensure that the technical scope is strictly respected according to customer requirements, program needs, and manufacturing requirements.
• Participate in stress analyses of the primary structure, secondary structure, and system installations within its scope:
o Support technical decision-making related to the stress analysis of the primary structure
o Support technical decision-making for fixed and mobile supports
o Support technical decision-making for all system installations assigned to them.
• Prepare key technical deliverables and ensure compliance of technical deliverables following the requirements of Airbus Atlantic and the client;
• Participate in the analysis and implementation of changes with the program, supply chain, production, and customers;
• Write test reports.
• Validate developed methodologies by correlating tests with calculations.
Profile sought
• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering;
• Knowledge of metallic and/or composite primary structure, secondary structure, and system installation stress calculation;
• Knowledge of aeronautical calculation processes and methods (AIRBUS Atlantic, BOMBARDIER, AIRBUS Canada processes and methods);
• Good proficiency in Catia/Enovia, NASTRAN, PATRAN;
• Experience in calculating sheet metal and machined parts;
• Experience in calculating composite parts (asset);
• Knowledge of configuration management rules;
• Knowledge/awareness of tolerancing (GD&T);
• Possess good written and oral communication skills;
• Bilingual English / French (verbal and written)
