Rheinmetall Canada is currently looking for a Supply Project Manager whose main challenge will be to develop strategies and provide all services related to the acquisition of goods and services for the company. Reporting to the Supply Manager, the incumbent will work closely with stakeholders from various sectors of the company. Through their influencing and leadership role, the incumbent will play a key role at Rheinmetall Canada and contribute strongly to the company's growth.
Here are your main responsibilities:
- Act as Lead to support the Supply Director on subcontracting contract files, actively contributing to the planning, execution and monitoring of key initiatives.
- Analyze, structure and consolidate the needs of internal clients, ensuring alignment with business objectives, budgets and deadlines.
- Be the main point of contact for commercial and contractual aspects with suppliers.
- Define and deploy optimal procurement strategies, including risk management, to ensure the success of mandates.
- Actively participate in the drafting, negotiation and revision of contractual agreements and subcontracts.
- Ensure the administration of subcontracting contracts, including supplier performance management, contractual deviations and non-conformities.
- Lead the entire procurement cycle: calls for tenders (RFP/RFQ), commercial and technical analysis, cost estimation, recommendations and supplier selection.
- Lead complex negotiations aimed at obtaining the best commercial conditions (costs, deadlines, quality, contractual clauses).
- Supervise the preparation and issuance of complex purchase orders, as well as their rigorous monitoring.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of procurement processes and contract management practices.
- Represent the company to partners and suppliers, locally and internationally (if necessary).
The assets we are looking for:
- University degree in a relevant field (management, procurement, engineering, law, administration or equivalent).
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, including significant experience in strategic procurement and contract/subcontract management.
- Solid understanding of contractual and legal environments, with the ability to structure, analyze and negotiate complex agreements.
- Demonstrated experience in strategic negotiation management and supplier relations.
- Excellent analytical, synthesis and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written) and strong ability to influence internal and external stakeholders.
- Bilingualism (French and English), oral and written*.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (including advanced Excel) and experience with an ERP (SAP an asset).
- Strong sense of ethics, judgment and responsibility, with a results-oriented approach.
- Natural leadership, autonomy and ability to act as a referrer (lead) within the team.
