Rheinmetall Canada is currently looking for a Supply Project Manager whose main challenge will be to develop strategies and provide all services related to the acquisition of goods and services for the company. Reporting to the Procurement Manager, the incumbent will work closely with stakeholders from various sectors of the company. Through their role of influence and leadership, the incumbent will play a key role at Rheinmetall Canada and strongly contribute to the company's growth.

Here will be your main responsibilities:

  • Act as a Lead to support the Procurement Director with subcontract contract files, actively contributing to the planning, execution, and monitoring of key initiatives.
  • Analyze, structure, and consolidate internal client needs, ensuring alignment with business objectives, budgets, and schedules.
  • Be the main point of contact for commercial and contractual aspects with suppliers.
  • Define and deploy optimal supply strategies, including risk management, to ensure the success of mandates.
  • Actively participate in the drafting, negotiation, and review of contractual agreements and subcontracts.
  • Ensure the administration of subcontract contracts, including supplier performance management, contractual deviations, and non-conformities.
  • Drive the entire procurement cycle: calls for tender (RFP/RFQ), commercial and technical analysis, cost estimation, recommendations, and supplier selection.
  • Lead complex negotiations aimed at obtaining the best commercial conditions (costs, deadlines, quality, contractual clauses).
  • Supervise the preparation and issuance of complex purchase orders, as well as their rigorous follow-up.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of procurement processes and contractual management practices.
  • Represent the company with partners and suppliers, locally and internationally (as needed).

The skills we are looking for:

  • University degree in a relevant field (management, procurement, engineering, law, administration, or equivalent).
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, including significant experience in strategic procurement and contract/subcontract management.
  • Solid understanding of contractual and legal environments, with the ability to structure, analyze, and negotiate complex agreements.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing strategic negotiations and supplier relations.
  • Excellent analytical, synthesis, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written) and strong ability to influence internal and external stakeholders.
  • Bilingualism (French and English), oral and written*.
  • Mastery of Microsoft Office tools (particularly advanced Excel) and experience with an ERP (SAP an asset).
  • Acute sense of ethics, judgment, and responsibility, with a results-oriented approach.
  • Natural leadership, autonomy, and ability to act as a referent (lead) within the team.
