Project Manager - Project Competence Center

About the position

AAA Canada is looking for a Project Manager - Project Competence Center to support one of its major partners in the aerospace sector.

As part of your duties, you will contribute to the development, harmonization, and continuous improvement of project management practices. You will play a key role in coordinating Competence Center initiatives, supporting teams, and deploying methodologies and tools that promote operational excellence.

Your main responsibilities

• Manage and monitor the scope of improvement projects defined by the Project Competence Center.

• Coordinate and control the various validation stages (Quality Gates) to ensure compliance with project management processes.

• Organize and support internal events, notably webinars and workshops, to mobilize teams and promote Competence Center initiatives.

• Design and develop support tools (guides, communications, training materials) to facilitate the adoption of new practices.

• Plan, organize, and coordinate project management training offered by the Competence Center.

• Work closely with project management business partners and conduct comparative analyses of different existing methodologies and practices.

• Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and the harmonization of project management methods.

• Support decision-making based on operational needs and ensure the escalation of issues when necessary.

Profile sought

• University degree in a technical, commercial, administration, or project management field.

• Practical experience in project and/or program management.

• PMP (Project Management Professional) certification issued by the PMI considered an asset.

• Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.

• Ability to build strong professional relationships and develop an internal network of contacts.

• Leadership, autonomy, organizational skills, and an excellent team spirit.

• Good mastery of computer tools, particularly the Google Workspace suite.

• French and English bilingualism required, both orally and in writing.
