Energy-Propulsion Project Manager

You have experience in aircraft development project management, you have worked in the aeronautics sector and you want to evolve and develop new skills? This position is for you!

An important commercial aircraft program is looking for a Project Management Business Partner (PMBP) to join a project and program management team based in Mirabel (Quebec, Canada), where you will work with cross-functional teams.

You will be part of the aircraft development project managers team - Energy and Systems, responsible for providing a reliable frame of reference based on best practices in project and portfolio management, as well as the services of a community of project management experts to ensure optimal decision-making and support the success of the program.

The organization of the team is established in such a way as to promote cross-functional collaboration, autonomy, mutual support and collective learning.

Your role

As a Project Manager, your role will be to monitor and control the necessary activities in terms of deadlines, costs, quality and performance to ensure the success of aeronautical development projects.

Your field of action will focus mainly on the IPT (Integrated Product Team) Propulsion.

You will notably be called upon to:

• Support the instruction of changes in the development of the IPT Propulsion as well as major changes;
• Facilitate the different aspects of project management for the IPT Propulsion team;
• Facilitate the team's weekly reviews;
• Ensure the management and monitoring of actions;
• Drive high-level and operational schedules;
• Facilitate the risk and opportunity management process;
• Monitor the costs of the team's development projects.

Your challenges

• Monitor and control project activities in terms of deadlines, costs, quality and performance;
• Develop, harmonize and update integrated plans;
• Identify and integrate lessons learned from the project;
• Ensure active management of risks and opportunities;
• Communicate effectively with various stakeholders.

Your profile

• You hold a bachelor's degree in project management, engineering or a related field;
• You demonstrate strong leadership qualities and wish to evolve in a stimulating environment;
• You ideally possess 3 to 5 years of experience in project management or program management;
• You possess a technical background in aeronautical development as well as a good understanding of operations;
• You have strong skills in analysis, planning and problem solving;
• You are perfectly comfortable communicating in French and English, both orally and in writing;
• You master the Google suite as well as project management and planning tools.
