The Manufacturing Project Lead works in the Canadian manufacturing site, located in Longueuil (Campus 1). He will participate in the development and implementation of digital strategies aimed at managing all manufacturing processes to improve the productivity and efficiency in manufacturing operations. These strategies include, among others, the following initiatives:
- PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) for Manufacturing Engineering
- MES (Manufacturing Management System) for production execution
- Migration to SAP S/4HANA
Furthermore:
- You will work closely with the network of digital solution users to identify and document their needs as well as the various manufacturing processes;
- You will participate in the development and maintenance of the organization's strategic plan;
- You will collaborate with the Digital Technology (DT) teams to provide IT solutions and methodologies aligned with user needs;
- You will also contribute to the development and execution of change management strategies associated with the rollout of various digital solutions.
This position requires strong leadership and influencing skills to find optimal solutions and achieve consensus among multiple stakeholders.
This is a full-time position from Monday to Friday with flexible hours, based in Longueuil, and performed exclusively on-site.
As a Project Lead in digital transformation within the Manufacturing/Campus 1 team, you will:
- Understand and document the various business processes surrounding manufacturing;
- Participate in the improvement of these processes;
- Work closely with production teams (employees, supervisors, manufacturing engineers, managers) in office environment and a unionized factory;
- Work in collaboration with the technological solutions teams (DT) as well as the developers to test and implement the targeted solutions for production;
- Develop and track project plans and communicate with users;
- Participate in the development of change management plans;
- Prepare and communicate the progress of projects during meetings that may involve stakeholders from all levels of the organization.
What do you need to be successful?
- Bachelor’s degree in operations management or engineering minimum of 5 years of relevant experience;
- Demonstrated project management skills, ideally in an agile environment;
- Proven strategic and tactical leadership;
- Strong communication skills and ability to develop a network;
- Bilingual in English/French, both spoken and written;
- Strong interest in digital technologies and understanding of Industry 4.0 principle;
- Knowledge and skills of IT tools related to the task: Microsoft Office, Visio, MS-Project, Jira and SAP.
The ideal candidate must demonstrate a high degree of autonomy and possess strong interpersonal skills. They should be able to influence various stakeholders and have effective communication skills, adapting their language to different audiences.
Although this position is part of a French-speaking work environment, it requires a working knowledge of English to read and understand specialized instructions, plans, drawings and technical terms that may emanate from international organizations, as well as to write and sometimes communicate in English with customers, suppliers or international colleagues.
