Project manager and Predictive maintenance - Fleet Performance

The A220 commercial aircraft Programme is looking for project manager and predictive maintenance/fleet performance expert to join our In-Service Engineering team based in Mirabel (Québec, Canada), where you will work with the In-Service Engineering team department supporting A220 customers with regards to the aircraft systems. The scope is covering all systems: hydro-mechanical systems (pneumatics, oxygen, flight controls, hydraulics, doors, landing gear), propulsion, avionics & electrical, including aircraft stability& control aspect.

This job is key to support A220 project management and fleet performance process execution and to ensure the fleet continues to operate safely.

The team organization is established to promote cross-collaboration autonomously, supporting each other and learning collectively.

Your role as project management and predictive/fleet performance will be to manage current Fleet Performance/Predictive models as well as new projects.

Your challenges:

• Define potential opportunities for predictive maintenance to address in-service issues;
• Create or modify HMU (Health Management Unit) reports for flight data gathering;
• Work on IT data platform and crunch time-series data to identify pattern for predictive maintenance;
• Work with engineering to create a new predictive maintenance algorithm;
• Validate the effectivity of the algorithm;
• Document and create user guide for active algorithm;
• Support users / Customer Response Center (CRC) and answer queries for the algorithm;
• Visit operator and vendor facilities to investigate, analyze and prepare technical reports on specific problem areas when required;
• Prepare technical reviews with customers;
• Prepare reports and presentations on in-service issues;
• Participate in operators' conferences;
• Support launch of new projects;
• Be referent for specific projects (Flight Documents / Health monitoring);
• Focal for internal/Customer Trainings (Key Specialized Training, Internal training);
• Fleet Performance Support.

Your boarding pass:

• Have an Engineering Degree or an AME license or equivalent diploma;
• Have minimum of five (5) years of experience in Customer Support or airline operations (Maintenance Control/Engineering and/or Fleet Management/Fleet Technical Support) is a strong asset;
• Have a solid knowledge of aircraft mechanical systems;
• You have previous experience with reliability analysis or health monitoring systems;
• You have the ability to make solidified and accurate decisions exercising good judgment skills;
• You are a team player with strong communication (verbal and written);
• You are organized, able to manage your time and be able to prioritize tasks effectively with short deadlines;
• Available for occasional travel on short notice.

Due to the sector of activity (aerospace), frequent contacts with Airbus entities worldwide, and interactions with suppliers and clients also located across the globe, proficiency in English is required for this position.

This role may involve some travels for business (worldwide).

Travel Required: Occasional travel within Canada, US & Overseas Regular business travels will be expected; consequently you must be willing to travel accordingly.

Travel Required: <5% Domestic and International.

Possible on-call duties during week-ends and/or holiday seasons.
