The A220 commercial aircraft Programme is looking for project engineering to join our Project engineering team based in Mirabel (Québec, Canada).

You will be part of the Project engineering team responsible for implementing the Airbus Canada Engineering Project Management vision through the execution of the associated A220 change management processes and tools.

The team organization is established to promote cross-collaboration autonomously, supporting each other and learning collectively.

Your role will be to perform project management duties related to the configuration change management projects to develop the detailed engineering project plans. This will require interfacing with multiple functions inside and outside Engineering as well as interfacing with suppliers to obtain deliverable planning details among others.

Your challenges

  • Implement the Airbus Canada Engineering Project Management vision through the execution of the associated A220 change management processes and tools.

  • Perform project management duties related to the configuration change management projects to develop detailed engineering project plans, interfacing with multiple internal and external functions and suppliers for deliverable planning.

  • Identify risks and issues with assigned projects and report them in the system accordingly.

  • Prepare recurring (weekly/monthly) reporting of project-related deliverables for the A220 Engineering management team for the function(s) assigned.

  • Develop a network of colleagues within Airbus to compare ways of working and define/apply Airbus standards and best practices.

Your qualifications

  • Degree in Engineering, Project Management, or equivalent relevant experience.

  • Minimum of 8 years of Engineering experience in Technical Project Management.

  • Knowledge of aircraft program development activities and understanding of configuration management, change management and Design Authorized Organizations (DAO) certification requirements.

  • Project management skills; ability to set priorities and align team members.

  • Resourceful and able to find creative ways to achieve outcomes while adapting to changing circumstances.

  • Recognized leader able to build and inspire a cross-functional team in a changing environment.

  • Ability to deploy continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Good oral and written skills in English and French.

  • Ability to simplify complex issues and summarise risks, key actions and next steps.

  • Demonstrated ability to work within diverse, cross-cultural teams.

  • Proactive, strong sense of responsibility and sound engineering judgement.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills; able to develop relationships with internal stakeholders and influence external stakeholders.

  • Good communicator; able to listen, coach and guide employees.

  • Able to leverage process knowledge and network to deliver on commitments and influence decisions to achieve the best possible outcome.
