Project Manager - IPT Empennage / WTBF + Major Modifications

You have experience in aircraft development project management, you have worked in aeronautics and you want to evolve and develop new skills? This position is for you!

The A220 commercial aircraft program is looking for a Project Management Business Partner (PMBP) to join our A220 Project Management and Program Support team based in Mirabel (Quebec, Canada), where you will work with cross-functional teams.

You will be part of the aircraft development project managers team - structure responsible for providing a reliable reference framework with best practices in project and portfolio management and for providing the services of a community of project management experts to ensure optimal decision making and protect the Program.

The team organization is established in such a way as to promote cross-functional collaboration autonomously, supporting each other and learning collectively.

Your role as a Project Management Business Partner (PMBP) will be to monitor and control the activities necessary in terms of time, cost, quality and performance in order to achieve the success of development projects on the A220.

Your scope of action will focus on the IPT (Integrated Product Team) Empennage & WTBF (Wing to Belly Fairing) as well as on major structural modifications:

• Be the strategic partner of the Project Manager/IPT (Integrated Product Team) in their responsibility in terms of Time, Cost, Quality and Performance of projects
• Ensure good decision-making linked to operational needs and escalate issues as needed.
• Develop, harmonize and update integrated plans.
• Ensure plan quality through the implementation of performance indicators and rule monitoring.
• Manage and control project scope throughout its lifecycle.
• Coordinate Project Management activities linked to the Airbus product development system.
• Integrate and analyze financial data, planning data, quality and performance data of major modifications in order to provide relevant and transparent analyses on project progress.
• Manage risks and opportunities (identification, categorization, recovery plan…).
• Use specific project management tools and methodologies to secure optimal execution.
• Establish and manage the governance of multidisciplinary teams, internal and external to Airbus, including engineering, methods, quality, purchasing and suppliers.
• Create synergies within the Project Management community by sharing experience and best practices.

Your profile:

• You hold a bachelor's degree in Project Management/Engineering or equivalent.
• You have leadership qualities and demonstrate a high level of influence.
• You have a minimum of 5 years of experience in project management or program management.
• You have a technical background in aircraft development.
• You have good analytical, planning and problem-solving skills.
• You are open-minded with strong interpersonal skills and you demonstrate a high ability to work in a team.
• You have a sense of organization, time management and you are autonomous.
• You ideally have experience and interest in aeronautics.
• You are perfectly comfortable communicating in French and English, both orally and in writing.
• You have advanced skills with the Google suite
