Tooling Project Manager

We are supporting our client, a major player in the Canadian aerospace industry, in their search for a Tooling Business Manager to ensure the planning, coordination, and monitoring of projects related to equipment and tooling.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Interpret, understand, and comply with plans and specifications.
  • Work closely with the company's various departments and act as a conductor to ensure effective coordination of activities.
  • Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety (OHS) standards applicable to equipment.
  • Manage the subcontracting of engineering services, including planning, coordination, and scheduling.
  • Create and monitor general project planning while managing unforeseen events and constraints to meet deadlines.
  • Monitor project-related budgets.
  • Lead multidisciplinary meetings and ensure the commitment of various collaborators.
  • Identify issues encountered during projects and implement appropriate solutions.
  • Prepare and present project progress reports to the executive committee.
  • Act as the main point of contact for clients during development projects.
  • Ensure the quality of technical documents used for calls for tenders, including specifications, working standards, and appendices.
  • Provide methodological support and accompany project managers in the subcontracting process.

Profile Sought

  • You hold a bachelor's degree in engineering, operations management, or an equivalent field.
  • You possess a minimum of 10 years of experience in the industrial sector or in a similar position. Any relevant combination of training and experience will be considered.
  • You demonstrate good analytical, planning, and organizational skills.
  • You are recognized for your reliability, autonomy, and ability to work effectively in a team.
  • You are stimulated by changes in your work environment.
  • You possess an excellent ability to adapt to a high work pace.
  • You are able to coordinate multiple stakeholders and priorities simultaneously.
  • Fluency in French and English is an asset.
