Job Description

Do you have experience in aircraft development project management, have you worked in aerospace, and would you like to grow and develop new skills? This position is for you!

We are looking for a Project Manager to join our A220 Support Project and Programme Management team based in Mirabel (Quebec, Canada), where you will work with cross-functional teams.

You will be part of the aircraft development project managers team - SYSTEMS - responsible for providing a reliable reference framework with best practices in project and portfolio management, and for delivering the services of a community of project management experts to ensure optimal decision-making and to protect the Programme.

As a Project Manager, your role will be to monitor and control the activities required in terms of schedule, cost, quality, performance and supplier support to achieve successful development projects on the A220.

Your initial area of responsibility will be SYSTEMS - electrical and avionics section:

  • Monitor development schedules with service partners
  • Support change instructions during development
  • Lead the "Project Management" aspects for the SYSTEM team:
    • Lead the team's weekly reviews
    • Drive the schedule (high-level & operational)
    • Drive actions
    • Facilitate the risk and opportunity process
    • Monitor the development project costs of the team

Challenges

  • Be the strategic partner of the IPT (Integrated Product Team) leader for responsibilities related to Time, Cost, Quality and Performance of projects
  • Ensure good decision-making in line with operational needs and escalate issues when necessary
  • Establish and manage IPT governance
  • Develop, harmonize and update the roadmap in support of the PEP (Product Evolution Plan)
  • Monitor activities of internal and external projects (time, cost, quality and performance)
  • Develop, harmonize and update integrated plans
  • Identify and integrate lessons learned from projects
  • Ensure active management of risks and opportunities
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders

Requirements / Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Project Management / Engineering or equivalent
  • Leadership qualities and ambition
  • Ideally 3 to 5 years' experience in project or programme management
  • Technical background in aircraft development and commercial operations
  • Strong analytical, planning and problem-solving skills
  • Fluent in French and English, both spoken and written
  • Advanced skills with the Google suite and planning/management tools
