You have experience in aircraft development project management, you have worked in aeronautics and you want to evolve and develop new skills? This position is for you!

We are looking for a project manager to join our A220 Support team in Project and Program Management based in Mirabel (Quebec, Canada), where you will work with cross-functional teams.

You will be part of the aircraft development project managers team - SYSTEM responsible for providing a reliable reference framework with best practices in project and portfolio management, and providing the services of a community of project management experts to ensure optimal decision making and protect the Program.

Your role as a project manager will be to monitor and control the activities necessary in terms of time, cost, quality, performance and supplier support in order to achieve the success of development projects on the A220.

Your area of action will initially focus on SYSTEMS - electrical and avionics section:

  • Follow development schedules with service partners
  • Support change instructions during development
  • Animate the “Project Management” aspects for the SYSTEM team:
    • Lead weekly team reviews;
    • Management of the schedule (high level & operational);
    • Management of actions;
    • Animation of the risk and opportunity process;
    • Monitor the costs of the team's development projects.

Your challenges:

  • Be the strategic partner of the IPT (Integrated Product Team) leader in their responsibility in terms of Time, Cost, Quality and Performance of projects;
  • Ensure good decision-making related to operational needs and escalate problems as needed;
  • Establish and manage IPT governance;
  • Develop, harmonize and update the roadmap in support of the PEP (Product Evolution Plan);
  • Monitor internal and external project activities (time, cost, quality and performance);
  • Develop, harmonize and update integrated plans;
  • Identify and integrate project lessons learned;
  • Ensure active management of risks and opportunities;
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders.

Your profile:

  • You hold a bachelor's degree in Project Management/Engineering or equivalent;
  • You have leadership qualities and ambition;
  • You ideally have 3 to 5 years of experience in project management or program management;
  • You have a technical background in aircraft development and commercial operations;
  • You have good analytical, planning and problem-solving skills;
  • You are perfectly comfortable communicating in French and English, both orally and in writing;
  • You have advanced skills with the Google suite and planning management tools.
