Our Airbus Atlantique site based in Mirabel is looking for its future Acquisition Project Manager:

Under the supervision of the Projects Manager, for the Airbus Atlantique Canada site in Mirabel, your responsibility will be to lead the company's various projects in accordance with the deadlines and budgets allocated to the program. Your daily work must be done in compliance with health and safety standards.

Responsibilities

You will mainly, but not exclusively, have to:

• Be the person responsible for technical work required for the acquisition.

• Be the person responsible for technical work required for the acquisition.

• Put forward cost reduction initiatives while increasing operational efficiency.

• Collect business needs from different departments, analyze them, criticize them if necessary and plan them.

• Draft specifications and monitor calls for tenders.

• Search for technical solutions meeting needs by analyzing different options with suppliers.

• Monitor budgets, costs, and schedules for the various projects.

• Prepare and present projects for validation with different functions.

• Lead meetings and keep the various tracking files up to date, keep IPCs up to date.

• Manage the activities of the different project phases: feasibility study, project mandate and business plan, acquisition, implementation, and production start-up.

• Manage change requests occurring during project execution.

• Develop risk management plans including mitigation plans.

• Participate in the continuous improvement of our project management processes.

• Cost a technical solution based on a need and produce estimates.

• Follow up (according to milestones) rigorously with suppliers.

• Carry out visits to suppliers or factory visits for suppliers when necessary.

• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

• Participate in presentations and meetings with various departments.

• Lead meetings and keep the various tracking files up to date, keep IPCs up to date.

• Manage change requests occurring during project execution.

• Develop risk management plans including mitigation plans.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of relevant experience

• PMP or other certification

• Experience in manufacturing and mechanical design.

• Experience in the aeronautical sector and in medium-series production support.

• Knowledge of assembly processes (key characteristics of simple or complex assembly tooling, capability analysis tool...).

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.

• Ability to use Catia V5, knowledge of SAP, Microsoft Office.

• Ability to use and interpret aeronautical standards (an asset)

• Master tolerancing principles and chain of dimensions

• Knowledge of elementary parts would be a plus.

• French & English: spoken & written

• Possesses good interpersonal skills and knows how to adapt communication to the relevant interlocutor, whether internally or with the client they rub shoulders with on a daily basis. As such, their power of conviction allows them to argue on technical aspects with courtesy and pedagogy.

• Enthusiastic by nature, likes to work in a fast-paced environment and handle unforeseen situations.

• Has the ability to respond with calm and responsiveness while providing quality work.
