Our Airbus Atlantic site based in Mirabel is looking for its future Acquisition Project Manager:

Under the supervision of the Projects Manager, for the Airbus Atlantic Canada site in Mirabel, your responsibility will be to lead the company's various projects in accordance with the timelines and budgets allocated to the program. Your daily work must be done while respecting health and safety standards.

The Projects team is: Above all, a team of enthusiasts who work collaboratively and in a good mood. Our mission is to take on challenges with the priority of supporting the production department in the assembly of aerospace products.

Responsibilities

You will primarily, but not exclusively, have to:

• Be the person responsible for technical work required for the acquisition.

• Put forward cost reduction initiatives while increasing operational efficiency.

• Collect business needs from different departments, analyze them, critique them if necessary, and plan them.

• Draft specifications and follow calls for tenders.

• Research technical solutions meeting needs by analyzing different options with suppliers.

• Track budgets, costs, and schedules of the various projects.

• Prepare and present projects for validation with various functions.

• Lead meetings and keep various tracking files up to date, keep IPCs up to date.

• Manage activities of the different project phases: feasibility study, project mandate and business plan, acquisition, implementation, and start of production.

• Manage change requests occurring during project execution.

• Develop risk management plans including mitigation plans.

• Participate in the continuous improvement of our project management processes.

• Estimate a technical solution based on a need and produce quotes.

• Conduct follow-ups (according to milestones) and rigorously with suppliers.

• Carry out visits to suppliers or factory visits for suppliers when needed.

• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

• Participate in presentations and meetings with various departments.

• Develop risk management plans including mitigation plans.

Desired Skills

• 5+ years of relevant experience

• PMP certification or others

• Experience in manufacturing and mechanical design.

• Experience in the aeronautics sector and in production support in medium series.

• Knowledge of assembly processes (key characteristics of simple or complex assembly tooling, capability analysis tool...).

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.

• Ability to use Catia V5, knowledge of SAP, Microsoft Office.

• Ability to use and interpret aeronautical standards (an asset)

• Master tolerancing principles and tolerance stack-up

• Knowledge of elementary parts would be a plus.

• French & English: spoken & written

• Naturally enthusiastic, enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and handling unforeseen situations.

• Has the ability to respond with calm and reactivity while providing quality work.
