Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

a) The Team Lead reports to the Base Manager and is an active member of the team, working within the category in which they are employed. The Team Lead has the ability to satisfactorily direct and supervise the work of others and is responsible for the performance of their crew.

b) The Team Lead will be responsible for conducting an annual evaluation of their assigned crew.

c) The Team Lead will coordinate staff assignments to maximize workflow. The Team Lead must sign or coordinate the signature of maintenance updates for unlicensed personnel.

d) In the assigned area of responsibility, tasks will include, but are not limited to:

  1. Plan, coordinate, and execute daily work;
  2. Participate in the development of the production plan and report on it.
  3. Resolve material, tooling, and engineering issues impacting the plan;
  4. Estimation and definition of planned repair;
  5. Assign and direct the work of maintenance personnel in their category. May provide guidance to other assigned categories working directly within their area of responsibility;
  6. Provide hands-on on-site training and coaching to maintenance personnel;
  7. Ensure that airworthiness and safety policies, processes, and standards are respected;
  8. Ensure that occupational safety standards are respected;
  9. Ensure that engine and component maintenance records are complete
  10. Exercise "ownership" of their area of responsibility.
  11. Ensure a safe and orderly workplace.

Required Education and/or Professional Experience:

  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in workshop maintenance operations (NT12).
  • Leadership skills and ability to lead a team in a diverse and fast-paced environment.
  • Positive and professional attitude, proactively identifying and solving problems with minimal supervision;
  • Strong knowledge of RAMCO is an asset;
  • Proven experience in supporting and conducting safe operations: OHS, flight safety, procedures, human factors, etc.
  • Good customer service skills;
  • Good time management and organizational skills;
  • Strong communicator who disseminates and obtains information with discretion, professionalism, and diplomacy;
  • Good computer knowledge, Microsoft, and email applications;
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize competing demands;
  • Positive and professional attitude, ability to take initiative and be autonomous;
  • Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills;
  • Ability to perform all work in compliance with our values of excellence, service, integrity... together.

Supervision, Training, and Consulting Responsibilities:

Supervise, approve timesheets, and vacation requests for:

  • Engine Maintenance Technicians.
  • Avionics Maintenance Technicians.
  • Hydraulic/Component Maintenance Technicians

Occupational Health and Safety Responsibilities:

You will have the following responsibilities in order to comply with the company's occupational health and safety program:

Managers are responsible for:

  • Providing a safe and healthy workplace, including necessary equipment, systems, and tools that are well maintained
  • Ensuring that employees under their direction know and comply with occupational health and safety requirements
  • Ensuring that employees under their direction receive adequate supervision.

Security / CGP / ITAR Requirements:

The position requires Level II clearance from the Canadian government and the ability to access the Canadian Controlled Goods Program
