In addition to the supplier Account Specialist activities, the Team Lead will act as the right hand of the Value Stream Manager in all his/her activities. As such, the Team Lead will share the responsibilities of overseeing the performance of suppliers and the quality and timely delivery of their parts. Also, the Team Lead will help manage supplier development activities at their sites. He/she will support the Strategic Sourcing organization in the identification and selection of suppliers and strategic partnerships. Also, he/she will partner with the supplier Quality function to manage and resolve production non-conformances. Finally, the Team Lead will undertake to identify the learning needs of the team, coach their colleagues and work with the Workforce Capability Development function to find appropriate learning solutions.
The Team Lead will be responsible for managing the overall cost, quality, and delivery performance of parts from owned commodities and suppliers. He/she will identify and execute long-term projects to achieve sustainable performance results.
The position is based at our Longueuil location, from Monday to Friday and exclusively on-site.
What will your day-to-day look like?
Oversee and manage supplier contract performance (including actions to correct non-compliant performance)
Develop strong vendor partnerships and take proactive measures to work with other P&WC groups (e.g. Quality, Engineering) to manage/reduce the cost of purchased materials
Execute supplier relationship management strategy
Manage supplier's ability to meet delivery requirements, including execution of corrective actions. Act as an escalation point for supplier issues and expedite directly with suppliers to resolve deficiencies and ensure corrective actions implementation
Identify skill development needs of the team
Provide direct on-the-job coaching and/or collaborate with the Workforce Capability Development team to develop learning strategies
Act as the team's point of contact for management and Integrated Material Flow function (IMF)
Support and/or manage the business plan with the Strategic Sourcing team.

Ability to manage multiple projects and suppliers simultaneously;
Excellent communication skills for presenting to management;
Strong relationship-building skills with internal stakeholders and ability to collaborate across teams;
Proactive problem-solving approach;
In-depth knowledge of SAP and business processes to support and coach the team.
This position is part of a French-speaking work environment, it requires a very good knowledge of English to read and understand, on a daily basis, documentation and technical terms that may emanate from international organizations, as well as to write and communicate in English with customers, suppliers or international colleagues.
