Summary

The building maintenance team leader is responsible for overseeing building maintenance activities across Execaire Aviation bases. This role ensures that each base operates safely, efficiently and in compliance with regulatory standards, while passing building audits and meeting airport and local municipal requirements. The building maintenance team leader acts as the central point of contact for all infrastructure-related matters and plays an essential role in protecting company assets as well as maintaining a consistent level of excellence across all sites. They will oversee all activities related to the BMR management system for preventive and corrective issues, addressing and assigning them while ensuring each item is resolved in an efficient timeframe. They will be responsible for ensuring that work orders are managed daily and handled in collaboration with the team.

Responsibilities

• Comply with Execaire Aviation's safety policy
• Lead and coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance programs across all bases, ensuring the highest level of safety inside and outside all sites
• Oversee supplier contracts and service providers (HVAC, electrical, plumbing and general repairs) and provide supporting documentation to the finance department
• Perform and support regular on-site inspections to ensure readiness for building audits and to ensure contractors comply with all company regulations and building codes
• Supervise and support capital improvement projects, renovations, as well as building maintenance and upgrades as needed

Requirements

• College diploma or trade school
• Experience in property or facilities management
• 5+ years of building maintenance experience in the aviation or industrial industry
• Strong knowledge of building systems
• Strong knowledge of maintenance best practices
• Excellent organizational, communication and leadership skills
• Bilingual (English/French)
