In addition to performing the responsibilities of a Supplier Account Specialist, you will serve as the Procurement Manager’s right-hand partner across all procurement activities.
In this role, you will share responsibility for overseeing supplier performance and ensuring the on-time delivery of quality parts. You will also contribute to managing supplier development activities at supplier sites.
You will support the Strategic Sourcing organization in identifying and selecting suppliers, as well as developing strategic partnerships. In addition, you will work closely with the Supplier Quality function to manage and resolve production non-conformances.
Finally, you will play a key role in developing the team by identifying learning needs, coaching your colleagues, and collaborating with the Workforce Development function to implement appropriate learning solutions.
The position is based at our Longueuil location, from Monday to Friday, with flexible hours and exclusively on-site.
What will your day-to-day look like?
- Oversee and manage supplier contract performance (including actions to correct non-compliant performance)
- Develop strong vendor partnerships and take proactive measures to work with other P&WC groups (e.g. Quality, Engineering) to manage/reduce the cost of purchased materials
- Execute supplier relationship management strategy
- Manage supplier's ability to meet delivery requirements, including execution of corrective actions. Act as an escalation point for supplier issues and expedite directly with suppliers to resolve deficiencies and ensure corrective actions implementation
- Identify skill development needs of the team
- Provide direct on-the-job coaching and/or collaborate with the Workforce Capability Development team to develop learning strategies
- Act as first point of escalation before the Value Stream Manager VSM
- Act as the team's point of contact for management and Integrated Material Flow function (IMF)
- Support and/or manage the business plan with the Strategic Sourcing team
- Prepare all value stream presentations of KPI, ORM and OPM nature
Travel and variable schedules may also be required for interactions with suppliers, partners, and internal sites (manufacturing and assembly).
What do you need to be successful?
- Baccalaureate and minimum of seven years of experience
- Demonstrated abilities of influential leadership is an asset;
- Capable of managing different projects simultaneously;
- Excellent oral and written communication in English. Fluency in French, an asset;
- Strong knowledge of systems and material requirements planning (MRP). Knowledge of SAP, an asset;
- Strong computer skills (PowerPoint, Excel, Word);
- Focus on processes and results;
- Strong relationship building skills;
- Team spirit and good interpersonal skills;
- Autonomy, perseverance and versatility, in addition to a strong business sense;
- Sense of ethics and respect;
- Ability to propose new and creative solutions;

- Knowledge of the aerospace industry is an asset;
- Aftermarket experience is an asset
This position is part of a French-speaking work environment, it requires a very good knowledge of English to read and understand, on a daily basis, documentation and technical terms that may emanate from international organizations, as well as to write and communicate in English with customers, suppliers or international colleagues.
