In addition to assuming the duties of a Supplier Account Specialist, you will act as a true right-hand person to the supply manager in all of their activities.

As such, you will share the responsibility of supervising supplier performance and parts delivery, ensuring compliance with quality requirements and schedules. You will also help manage supplier development activities directly at their sites.

You will support the strategic procurement organization in identifying and selecting suppliers and in developing strategic partnerships. You will also work closely with the Supplier Quality function to manage and resolve production non-conformances.

Finally, you will play a key role in team development by identifying learning needs, coaching colleagues, and collaborating with the Workforce Development function to implement tailored learning solutions.

The position is located at our Longueuil facility from Monday to Friday, on a flexible schedule and exclusively on-site.

What your day-to-day will look like

  • Supervise and manage the execution of supplier contracts (including actions to correct non-compliant performance)
  • Develop strong partnerships with suppliers and take proactive measures to work with other P&WC groups (e.g., Quality, Engineering) to manage/reduce the cost of purchased material
  • Execute the supplier relationship management strategy
  • Manage the supplier's capacity to meet delivery requirements, including the execution of corrective actions. Act as an escalation point for supplier issues and expedite directly with suppliers to resolve gaps and ensure the implementation of corrective actions.
  • Identify team skills development needs
  • Provide direct on-the-job coaching and/or collaborate with the Workforce Development team to develop learning strategies
  • Act as the first escalation point before the VSM value stream manager
  • Act as the team's point of contact for management and the Integrated Materiel Flow (IMF) function
  • Support and/or manage the commercial plan with the Strategic Sourcing team
  • Prepare all value stream presentations regarding KPIs, ORM, and OPM

What you need to succeed

  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of seven years of experience
  • Demonstrated influential leadership abilities are an asset;
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English. Proficiency in French is an asset;
  • Solid knowledge of systems and Material Requirements Planning (MRP).
  • Knowledge of SAP, an asset;
  • Strong computer skills (PowerPoint, Excel, Word);
  • Process and results-oriented;
  • Strong interpersonal relationship development skills;
  • Team spirit and good interpersonal skills;
  • Autonomy, perseverance, and versatility, in addition to a solid business sense;
  • Sense of ethics and respect;
  • Ability to propose new and creative solutions;
  • Ability to provide superior customer service and exceed expectations;
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment;
  • Organizational skills and ability to work under pressure with competing and varying priorities;
  • Project management skills;
  • Knowledge of the aerospace industry is an asset;
  • Experience in Aftermarket is an asset

This position takes place in a French-speaking work environment, nevertheless it requires a very good knowledge of English to read and understand, on a daily basis, documentation and technical terms that may emanate from international organizations, as well as to write and communicate in English with international clients, suppliers, or colleagues.
