Hybrid position: 4 days on site and 1 day remote (the remote day will be flexible)
About the project
As an industrial project / continuous improvement manager, you will use your project management skills to coordinate, plan, and execute manufacturing and/or industrial logistics projects while ensuring health & safety rules are respected and risks are eliminated.
Responsibilities
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement using problem-solving techniques and concepts such as Kaizen, Six Sigma, Lean, Design Thinking, and Agile.
- Implement improvement projects.
- Define and control project evolution, key milestones, and control points and follow up on them.
- Be responsible for overall project execution from initiation through delivery.
- Assume budget responsibility for large-scale projects up to 1 million.
- Be responsible for the schedule.
- Be responsible for investment and replacement of obsolete machines/equipment within manufacturing.
- Provide a financial (business case) and technical justification for project definition and operation.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams both inside and outside the department.
- Work with resource managers.
Skills and qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial project management.
- PMP, PMI-ACP certification (asset).
- Knowledge of logistics activities.
- Six Sigma Green Belt certification (asset).
