Summary of responsibilities
- Manage maintenance projects according to budget, plan and schedule; project management tasks may relate to one or more aircraft.
- Liaise with Finance to ensure project payment schedules are met.
- Act as the primary client point of contact during the maintenance project, ensure client approvals are obtained as required, provide status reports and schedule updates, and ensure delivery of deposit invoices and overall billing review with the client.
- Lead team meetings and work with all relevant departments to produce timely project status reports.
- Review, validate and ensure delivery of the final invoice to the client.
- Hold project close-out meetings and analyze production and financial margins.
- Follow up with the client at project completion and resolve any post-departure issues to ensure client satisfaction; communicate with internal departments as needed.
- Ensure high-quality customer service throughout maintenance projects.
Education and skills
- Post-secondary studies or diploma in aircraft maintenance or a related field.
- Minimum 5 to 8 years of experience in the aviation field.
- Strong project management skills with a proven ability to coordinate and manage multiple projects simultaneously and set priorities accordingly.
- Aircraft maintenance technician license considered an asset.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build productive professional relationships with employees, clients, management and other departments.
- Exceptional customer service skills, strong attention to detail and excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Basic budgeting knowledge considered an asset.
- Advanced skills in MS Office programs, particularly Excel, and ability to quickly adapt to new programs and specialized operational software.
