The purpose of this role is to work with the Quality team at the Longueuil Manufacturing Centre to improve the overall quality signature and performance of the products in scope by reducing escapes and non-conformities through the deployment of various initiatives.
As a recognized expert in their field, the incumbent provides essential strategic direction to team members, projects, and programs related to their area of expertise. They play a key role in achieving company objectives by delivering concrete and measurable results.
Through their broad vision and in-depth knowledge, they provide sound guidance and multidisciplinary expertise to various team members, contributing to informed decision-making and process optimization. Their strategic and technical contributions make them a key reference within the organization.
The position is based at our Longueuil facility, Monday to Friday, exclusively on-site.
What will your day-to-day look like?
- Lead a team of Supplier Quality Engineers or Quality Specialists
- Act by providing direction and managing priorities.
- Review, analyze, and identify group issues impacting product quality and flow.
- Propose and implement supplier corrective actions and improvements within optimal timelines.
- Synthesize data to identify systemic root causes of product escapes and customer interventions.
- Engage both Suppliers and internal stakeholders to define and deploy sustainable corrective strategies.
- Oversee and standardize quality clinics to positively impact the overall quality signature.
- Organize and facilitate process analyses.
- Drive process maturity to ensure stability and repeatability.
- Ensure coordination with internal teams and external partners to provide optimal support.
What do you need to be successful?
- Technical degree and minimum 15 years’ experience or Bachelor’s degree and minimum 10 years’ experience.
- Field of studies: Manufacturing, Engineering, Aerospace, Quality
- System knowledge such as SAP, Power BI (an asset)
- Knowledge of Catia (an asset)
- Experience with ASQR standards and PPAP techniques (an asset)
- Experience using the Six Sigma approach or other continuous improvement techniques (an asset)
This position is part of a French-speaking work environment, it requires a very good knowledge of English to read and understand, on a daily basis, documentation and technical terms that may emanate from international organizations, as well as to write and communicate in English with customers, suppliers or international colleagues.
