The A220 commercial aircraft Programme is looking for a Chief - Maintenance Activities - Material Services A220 Program to join our Configuration Management, Supply Engineering & Material Anticipation team based in Mirabel (Québec, Canada), where you will work jointly with internal and external teams to support maintenance activities.
You will be part of the Configuration Management, Supply Engineering & Material Anticipation team responsible for providing technical and logistic support for in service maintenance activities.
The team organization is established to promote cross-collaboration autonomously, supporting each other and learning collectively.
In this role, the selected candidate will manage and lead a team supporting the A220 Program maintenance activities. The incumbent will work closely with other managers within the Customer Response Center. The role holder will work closely with our in-service spare parts distributor (Satair) who has offices across the world. The incumbent will also be required to communicate directly with operators, suppliers and various cross-functional departments within Airbus. The incumbent will represent the Customer Response Center (CRC), A220 spare parts section in various forums, meetings and committees.

Your challenges:
Coordinate and manage the team supporting the A220 Program customers maintenance activities related to parts availability;
Initiate and deploy team improvement initiatives to ensure optimal efficiency and cohesion, as well as multifunctional initiatives;
Manage Urgent/AOG situation with our in-service spare parts supplier Satair;
Ensure the team's adherence to governances: CRM (Customer Resource Management) response time, DLA (Data License Agreement) response time, AOG (Aircraft On Ground) response time, CRM response quality, and all relevant governance related to the operational activities;
Respond to customer requests (complaints) related to the service provided by our team or the service offered by external teams related to requests for parts or configuration;
Represent Airbus Canada Material Services in different forums with customers or suppliers;
Implement performance management tools linked to the team's objectives: Accountable for the team's results at the end of the year;
Direct communications with external suppliers and the assembly line for optimal allocation of parts during urgent requirements for our suppliers in service : Must be able to properly assess the risks related to their decisipossible major impact for customers and the assembly line. Will have to make decisions quickly under high pressure;
Collaborate with Satair to offer the best solution for urgent customer queries: Will have to manage complex situations that require the intervention and collaboration of several related departments. Must be able to structure the response in a way that ensures customer understanding and acceptance;
Develop continuous improvement initiatives with the various stakeholders at Satair in order to optimize inventory and performance, part to shelf, for customer needs: Must be able to understand the complexity of the Satair supply chain in relation to the different environments (Contracts, Planning, Purchasing, Logistics (transport and customs), Receiving, Inspection, Shipping). This also includes the Airbus groups that support Satair activities;
Define the team development strategy in line with the development and maturity of the program: Must be able to understand the complexity of Satair's activities in relation to the different environments (Contracts, Planning, Purchasing, Logistics (transport and customs), Receiving, Inspection, Shipping). This also includes the Airbus groups that support Satair activities .
The scope of the position concerns the entire supply chain of the A220 program in addition to the activities and teams that support customer maintenance activities - Direct involvement with customers and suppliers will be necessary;
Achieving the team's objectives will have a direct impact on customer satisfaction in line with one of Airbus' values, namely Customer Focus;
Direct interaction with the Airbus (Legacy Program) Toulouse teams to ensure maximum alignment of activities and benefit from their expertise.
Your profile:
Solid management experience with good leadership, a spirit of challenge, ability to work under pressure, aptitude for training;
Technical experience in maintenance activities;
Good expertise in project management with an ability to compartmentalize a project to make it more concrete for the members of his team;
Ability to manage a group of experts with different and multicultural skills;
Good ability to communicate, knowing how to adapt to audiences of different functions and levels;
Experience in the field of supply chain, engineering will be a plus;
Fluency in English
This role may involve some travels for business (worldwide).
Travel Required: Occasional travel within [country] & Overseas
Travel Required: <5% Domestic and International.
Possible on-call duties during week-ends and/or holiday seasons.
