Head of - Airframe Transverse Integration

The A220 commercial aircraft Programme is looking for a Head of Airframe Transverse Integration to join our A220 Airframe Engineering team based in Mirabel (Québec, Canada), where you will manage a team of Experts and Program Domain Leaders (PDL).
You will be part of the Airframe Transverse Integration team responsible for / developing technical expertise, optimizing internal processes and aligning local and remote airframe teams on A220 Program objectives, priorities, budget and operational plans.
The team organization is established to promote cross-collaboration autonomously, supporting each other and learning collectively.
Your role as Head of Airframe Transverse Integration will be to manage a multi-discipline engineering team, ensure strategic initiatives are achieved (cost/weight reduction, ramp-up) and provide management direction to meet engineering commitments.

Navigate Complex Priorities: Master the art of managing priorities and, when necessary, lead critical operational trade-offs in the face of scheduling or budget conflicts at the aircraft level.
Manage Risk and Drive Resolution: Proactively manage the portfolio of risks and opportunities across the airframe perimeter, and efficiently manage escalations to the Program to ensure swift resolution.
Strategically Manage Budget: Oversee and align macro-level budgets, monitor engineering teams (time, cost, planning), and adeptly manage program priorities and trade-offs at the aircraft level.
Drive Win-Win Solutions: When identified, expertly take on activities, requirements, and deliverables applicable to all A220 airframe teams, ensuring mutually beneficial resolutions for all involved parties.
Influence Strategic Direction: Advise and influence leadership to drive significant improvements in operational solutions, leaving a lasting impact on efficiency and effectiveness.
Your boarding pass:
An engineering degree, or equivalent compelling experience.
A minimum of 15 years of relevant experience.
Strong interpersonal, planning, and organizational skills, with the agility to manage multiple priorities, excel under pressure, and align team members towards meeting priorities and critical deadlines.
Resourcefulness and the ability to find creative ways to achieve desired outcomes, adapting to changing situations and emerging obstacles.
The ability to deploy continuous improvement initiatives.
Autonomy, requiring limited supervision in order to achieve desired results.
Initiative, a strong sense of responsibility and good engineering judgment.
Fluency in both spoken and written English and French, with the ability to distill complex issues and clearly articulate risks, key actions, and next steps.
Demonstrated ability to work in a team composed of individuals with various backgrounds and different cultures.
The ability to develop relationships with internal stakeholders, influence external stakeholders and to leverage your network to meet commitments.
