Air Canada is looking for a Manager, Products, Technologies and Marketing Experience to design the tools used by our marketing teams as well as the experiences offered to our customers.
You will work on both aspects of marketing. Part of your work will consist in developing tools intended for marketing teams: the platforms and processes used to plan, create, target, launch and measure their activities. The other part will aim to improve the customer experience: the personalized experiences that these teams deploy on our digital channels.
This position covers the entire marketing technology ecosystem rather than a single platform in particular. We are looking for someone comfortable at the intersection of strategy and execution, capable of establishing direction with high-level stakeholders, translating it into a roadmap, and then building a first functional solution to demonstrate its value.
Responsibilities
- Define and drive the product strategy as well as the roadmap for marketing tools and customer-facing marketing experiences.
- Understand marketing teams' working methods, identify inefficiencies, manual tasks or friction points in processes, and then implement solutions.
- Lead the development of new capabilities on both sides of the ecosystem: AI-assisted workflows for marketing teams and personalized experiences for customers on digital channels.
- Design prototypes and functional proofs of concept, then validate them with real users before recommending larger-scale investment.
- Design and implement artificial intelligence-based workflows for marketing activities, including content generation, quality assessment and internal tools.
- Collaborate with platform, data, development and marketing teams to integrate proven capabilities into a production environment.
- Measure the results of deployed solutions: adoption rates and efficiency gains for internal tools, as well as engagement and conversion for customer-facing experiences.
- Translate business objectives into structured product initiatives with measurable results.
- Develop business cases and present recommendations to marketing and technology leadership teams.
- Promote standards of quality, consistency, consent compliance and measurement across all marketing activities.
- Keep informed of the latest developments in marketing technologies, personalization and applied artificial intelligence.
Qualifications
- University degree in business, computer science, software engineering or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Over 5 years of experience in product management, marketing technologies or technical product management.
- Experience in developing internal tools and customer-facing products.
- Knowledge of marketing platforms such as Adobe Experience Platform and good understanding of the integration between customer data, personalization as well as customer journey or email platforms.
- Hands-on experience in designing and evaluating AI-assisted workflows applied to concrete use cases.
- Comfortable working directly with APIs, automation tools and AI prototyping environments. You do not need to be a developer, but you must be able to advance work autonomously without constantly relying on technical support.
- Experience in leading cross-functional initiatives involving product, design, development and marketing teams.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience with AI-generated content evaluation methods.
- Experience in designing and deploying artificial intelligence-powered customer experiences.
- Experience in the airline, travel, loyalty or large-scale consumer digital industries.
Employment Conditions:
Candidates must be eligible to work in the country concerned at the time a job offer is presented and are responsible for obtaining work permits, visas or other necessary authorizations. Proof of eligibility must be provided before the start date.
Language Requirements
All else being equal, preference will be given to bilingual candidates.
