Qualifications and required skills

• University degree in engineering, operations management, administration, or any combination of education and experience deemed equivalent;
• Five (5) years of experience, including two (2) years in a supervisory role;
• Familiarity with MTMD road maintenance standards;
• Proficiency with specialized software including GIS (Geographic Information System), road maintenance management software, and telemetry systems;
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, MS Project and Outlook);
• Good knowledge of occupational health and safety practices and environmental requirements;
• Possession of a valid Class 5 driver's licence;
• Experience working in a northern territory will be considered an asset.

Working conditions and benefits

• Permanent full-time position based in Matagami;
• Work schedule Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week (8 hours per day);
• Annual salary ranging from $87,682 to $114,739;
• Annual regional disparity allowance of $4,320 (without dependents) and $5,747 (with dependents);
• Reimbursement of moving expenses;
• Comprehensive benefits package (pension plan, vacation, group insurance, EAP, 10 days for sick leave or family obligations, professional association dues, training, 14 public holidays, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and monitor road maintenance activities for the network under their responsibility;
• Develop work plans, operational schedules and annual maintenance budgets;
• Supervise operational logistics, including procurement, equipment management and fleet maintenance;
• Assess the condition of the road network and ensure the conformity of completed work;
• Lead, engage and support teams under their responsibility, notably regarding occupational health and safety;
• Participate in contract management, preparation of calls for tenders and relations with external partners and stakeholders.

Its mission is to promote, from a sustainable development perspective, economic development, enhancement and the exploitation of natural resources on the territory, other than hydroelectric resources under Hydro-Québec's mandate.
