As Ground Equipment Manager, you will play an important leadership role in achieving our ambition to be recognized in everything we do as one of the top 10 airlines in the world. Responsibilities:
- Ensure the elimination of safety and security risks, analyze root causes and take corrective actions. Support station managers and frontline staff in their regions to ensure the continuous application, monitoring and compliance with safety, security and service standards by conducting regular self-checks. Analyze the root causes of weaknesses revealed by self-check or regulatory audit activities, where applicable, take corrective actions and adopt a method to assess their effectiveness.
- Assume responsibility for operational safety in the region. Oversee and support the implementation and verification of Air Canada's Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and support the organization of periodic follow-up meetings conducted by station managers with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) and Safety Management System (SMS) standards, as well as those of other competent authorities.
- Support the management team and ground service providers with respect to safety, security and customer service activities in the region.
- Anticipate and identify safety, security, service and operational issues, and resolve them with the executive safety team, with a focus on safety.
- Ensure consistent compliance, monitoring and enforcement of safety, security and service standards, including emergency response plans and environmental plans.
- Represent our brand and embody our Company's vision for customer service excellence.
