About the role

Reporting to the Vice President (VP) and Regional Director (RD) for Lockheed Martin Canada Inc. and Latin America, the Chief of Staff serves as a strategic partner to the VP/RD, enabling focus on business priorities by driving execution and integrating strategies for Canada and Latin America that align with Lockheed Martin's overall objectives.

Working with a high degree of autonomy, the Chief of Staff anticipates the VP's needs, coordinates between Global Business Development and Strategy (GBDS), business sectors and organizational functions, and ensures rigorous execution of priorities. The role requires strong strategic judgment, solid business and financial acumen, executive presence, and the ability to produce high-quality deliverables in a complex, fast-changing environment.

  • Support the GBDS leadership team in developing, integrating and executing growth strategies for Canada and Latin America aligned to Lockheed Martin's organizational objectives.

Leadership support and decision-making

  • Anticipate the VP's information, planning and decision-making needs; exercise delegated authority where appropriate.
  • Prepare leadership materials including briefing notes, dashboards, chart packs and presentations for internal and external engagements.
  • Coordinate information requests across stakeholders and synthesize complex inputs into clear analyses ready for leadership review.

Governance, planning and leadership forums

  • Develop agendas for GBDS leadership team meetings, cross-sector collaboration forums and offsite sessions, and facilitate them.
  • Record key decisions, actions and risks; assign ownership and timelines to ensure follow-up and delivery.
  • Ensure governance effectiveness, appropriate pacing of activities and alignment across leadership forums.

Financial and performance management

  • Track, forecast and produce GBDI budget reports in close collaboration with Finance and business operations.
  • Monitor performance indicators and provide analysis to support resource allocation, prioritization and strategic decision-making.

Leadership engagements and special projects

  • Lead planning and execution of senior GBDS leader international visits, coordinating activities across stakeholders and geographies.
  • Manage special projects and cross-functional initiatives, often related to sensitive matters or deliverables with critical deadlines.

Required skills, qualifications and experience

  • Proven experience working in an executive or enterprise-level environment.
  • Exceptional analytical skills, strategic thinking and strong business acumen, with the ability to synthesize complex information.
  • Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders without direct line authority and collaborate effectively with them.
  • Strong financial acumen, including experience working on budgets and forecasts.
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills, with experience preparing and presenting materials for leadership.
  • Excellent organizational skills, sound judgment and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
  • Proficiency with collaboration tools and leadership reporting technologies.

Additional desired skills

  • Experience as a senior advisor to a CEO, senior executive, deputy minister, assistant deputy minister, or similar.
  • Experience managing or owning budgets within a complex organization.
  • Experience working with the Canadian defence sector and public procurement.
  • Experience in a large organization, matrix structure or international organization.

Pay transparency

At Lockheed Martin Canada we comply with pay transparency requirements and believe publishing pay ranges for vacancies supports a fairer workforce.

Salary range

$136,000 - $178,500
