Workplace: Saint-Hubert base (CYHU) but required to work across all our bases

Status: Regular full-time employee on a 7-7 schedule or part-time on a schedule of 7 consecutive days per month from Tuesday 6:00 AM to the following Tuesday 6:00 AM.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

Under the responsibility of the Aerial Operations Manager, your role consists of safely planning and managing all your aero-medical evacuation flights, in close collaboration with the flight crew and ground crew.

More specifically, you will:

  • Conduct pre-flight aircraft inspections and verify passenger and cargo distribution to ensure compliance with weight and balance specifications;
  • Ensure that all flight operations are conducted safely and in compliance with standards;
  • Coordinate flight activities with ramp personnel and air traffic control, inform crew members regarding flight and check procedures, and direct crew members' activities in flight;
  • Communicate with various stakeholders for various clearances, instructions, and other information;
  • Conduct in-flight checks, monitor the operation of equipment and onboard systems, maintain contact with flight dispatchers and meteorological forecasters, and report and respond to any in-flight emergencies and malfunctions;
  • Maintain competencies and actively participate in airplane division projects.

Your professional background stands out with:

Captain Technical Skills

  • Minimum 1200 total flight hours including a minimum of 500 hours on turboprop aircraft (single-engine or multi-engine);
  • Valid Airline Transport Pilot Licence or CPL (Commercial Pilot Licence);
  • Group 3 Instrument Rating;
  • Saron and Samra exams passed;

Your assets before hiring:

  • Qualification and/or experience on PC12;
  • Minimum of 500 PIC hours;
  • Northern experience on gravel runways;
  • Hold a valid Category 1 medical certificate without restriction for night flying;
  • No criminal record that would impede the ability to travel to the United States and internationally;
  • Valid Canadian passport without restriction (authorized to travel to the United States and internationally);
  • Be eligible to obtain a Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC);
  • Meet minimum ICAO level 5 French and English language proficiency standards;

Additional Requirements

  • Ability to work and perform a normal and sustained work mission for 7 consecutive days, with shifts up to 14 hours, including weekends and holidays;
