The Air Canada Cargo Accounts department is the primary point of contact for all internal and external inquiries for Air Canada Cargo in the United Kingdom. It works in conjunction with Customer Service to ensure that all customer shipments are invoiced efficiently and accurately. The incumbent will need to demonstrate investigative skills to verify the legitimacy of customer billing inquiries.
Responsibilities:
- Record all external and internal customer requests received, and take appropriate action.
- Ensure that the charges on the air waybill are accurate with regard to import and export shipments, and shipments from Ireland.
- Work closely with Customer Service to eliminate billing errors.
- Communicate with customers to approve or reject their adjustment requests. Prepare freight charge adjustments, if necessary, using Word and Excel software.
- Prepare Cargo Account Settlement System (CASS) adjustments, if necessary, and ensure data entry into the freight accounting system (CITRIX).
- Prepare freight documents for upload to Air Canada Cargo's document management system (Odiss).
- Provide support to and temporarily replace the Air Canada Cargo Accounts Coordinator and the Senior Accounts Clerk, as needed.
- Verify daily data generated by CASS from Citrix, then prepare and request CASS adjustments using Word and Excel software.
- Identify all charges in CASS reports related to import and export shipments, and shipments from Ireland.
- Perform related Air Canada Cargo Accounts tasks, as needed.
- Ensure compliance with online training offered by Air Canada University.
Qualifications
- Freight experience, an asset
- Candidates must have the permanent and unrestricted right to live and work in the United Kingdom
- Experience with WebLynx, CITRIX and Microsoft Office suite, an asset
- DfT (Department for Transport) security training
Terms of employment:
